SHOT is dedicated to enhancing the pleasure of owning and riding versatile horses through creating better horses and horsemen. SHOT offers affordable, fun western stock horse clinics and competitions for any age, any skill level, and any western stock horse breed or unregistered stock horse. Stock Horse Pleasure, Stock Horse Trail, Reining and Working Cow are the four areas SHOT focuses on to help promote versatile stock horses.

2012 Season Begins
The 2012 SHOT Show Season is ready to kick off on February 24th thru 26th at the Taylor County Expo Center in Abilene, Texas. This event will host a clinic, herd work, Annual Awards Banquet, SHOT Show and SHOT Collegiate Show. We are excited to welcome a great line up of clinicians for this season opener. Premier cow horse trainer, Shawn Hays of Nocona will be our Working Cow Horse clinician. From the historic Four Sixes/Burnett Ranches we have Head Trainer Chance O'Neal instructing the Reining, Assistant Trainer Will Wallendorf will be the Trail clinician and Assistant Trainer Dusty Burson will teach the Pleasure class. The Clinic will be followed by a hamburger social sponsored by our friends at Total Equine. Following the hamburger social there will be a Membership Forum and the Annual Herd Work Competition. Saturday we will start showing at 8:30 with the Limited-Non Pro, Novice and Youth divisions. Saturday night will be the 2011 Annual Awards Banquet. Sunday will begin with a Cowboy Church service in the Horse Barn, then the show will get started at 8:30 with Open, Non-Pro and Junior Horse divisions. Get your entries in early for this great event!
